August 28, 2015 |
On behalf of the Board, staff, and volunteers of the Global Health and Education Projects, Inc., we extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Eta Ashu, our Country Coordinator, Canada, on the passing away of his father Professor James Tabot Ashu which sad event took place in Boston, MA, USA, at the age of 69.
As a global non-profit organization that addresses global disparities in health and education, we are extremely gratified to learn that during his life, Professor Ashu touched many lives and was instrumental in the educational upliftment of many people who have today moved on to become successful in different spheres of life and across the world. We are further gladdened that he epitomized the foundation of developing the human mind and the society both as a community leader and as a teacher.
We pray that God will give his widow, Mrs. Ashu, our colleague, Mr. Eta Ashu, and the family the fortitude to bear their irreparable loss. May he rest in peace.

I worked with James at Labouré for several years; he was always so gentlemanly, pleasant and helpful. I wish I had had a chance to work more closely with him and to get to know him better. His life story is so interesting, and he accomplished so much.
Please be assured of my prayers, and the prayers of many others at Labouré, for your father and for your family.

Eternal farewell from Mary, Luther and Tambe |
August 7, 2015 |
Bro James,
You nurtured me in Yaounde and patiently endured and tolerated all my youthful indiscretions. I left your house in Biyemassi, Yaounde, walked a few steps to the road, boarded a taxi which took me to the airport and on my way to Houston, Texas. I'm the man I am today thanks to your love. Mary, Luther and I thank you so much. Farewell, Bro James. It is well.

Nnack, it was so shocking to get the news of your death. Your premanent smile and jokes will never escape my memory. You called me Nnack and expressed how happy you are now that my sister is here. You have gone too fast and left behind Sister Ara, Besong, Tambong, Tabi, Etta and your siblings. It is hard to belief, but we will not ask any questions, but accept God's will which is always supreme. My your soul rest in perfect peace with your maker.
My sister and the boys, please accept my most profound sympathy. May the good Lord comfort you in Jesus' name, Amen.

My deepest condolences. May these few words from the Holy Scriptures bring you comfort in this time of grief...
Isaiah 57:1-2
1 Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come.
2 For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.
